At Encore Dance Studio, we believe dance should be enjoyable, inclusive, and accessible for everyone. Based in Bundaberg, our vibrant studio welcomes students of all ages and experience levels — from tiny dancers taking their first steps to dedicated performers pursuing excellence.

Since opening our doors in 2004, Encore has become a cornerstone of Bundaberg’s dance community. Our mission is simple: to help each student grow in confidence, creativity, and skill while developing a genuine love for dance. Exams, CONCERTS
& Performance Teams

For dancers who wish to take their training further, Encore offers exams in Ballet, Jazz, and Tap through the COMDANCE syllabus — a structured and internationally recognised pathway that can even lead to teaching accreditation.

Students also have the opportunity to join our Eisteddfod and Competition Teams, perform at community events, and participate in our much-loved annual concert, where every student gets the chance to shine on stage. These experiences help build confidence, discipline, teamwork, and a lifelong passion for performance.

Our Bundaberg studio features three spacious, air-conditioned dance studios — each fitted with mirrors, ballet barres, quality sound systems, and ceiling fans for year-round comfort.

For acro and tumbling programs, we provide professional-grade acro mats and an air track, ensuring students can safely develop strength, flexibility, and confidence in every class.

  • Sophie Capuzzo

    Studio Owner & Principal Teacher/Choreographer

    COMDANCE Diploma in Dance Teaching (2019) | Acrobatic Arts Certified

    Miss Sophie’s love of dance began at age four and has continued to grow ever since. With over a decade of teaching experience, she is known for her creativity, choreography, and commitment to helping every dancer reach their potential. Sophie is dedicated to providing high-quality training and fostering confidence, artistry, and a lifelong love of dance.

    Jazz & Tap Teacher

    Founder of Encore Dance Studio and COMDANCE-qualified instructor, Miss Penny brings decades of experience and infectious enthusiasm to every class. A professional dancer and cherished member of the Encore family, her warmth and dedication have shaped the studio’s legacy.

    For over 15 years, Miss Lennee has energised Encore with her creativity and passion for hip hop. Loved by students of all ages, she fosters a fun, inclusive, and high-energy classroom environment.

    A COMDANCE-accredited teacher and Bachelor of Education student, Miss Amelia brings enthusiasm and care to every class, encouraging dancers to progress with confidence and excitement.

    Musical Theatre Teacher

    Having trained full-time at ED5 International in Sydney, Miss Grace brings flair and professionalism to her Musical Theatre classes. With experience in singing, dancing, and stage performance, she inspires confidence and expressive storytelling in every dancer.

  • LIBBY BURRELL

    Ballet Teacher

    Libby has danced from a young age commencing full time ballet training at the age of 13. Libby trained overseas with various teachers from schools in New York, Canada, Japan and London. Libby continued her dance training at the highly regarded Tanya Pearson Academy in Sydney, and now loves to share and pass on the knowledge gained through many years of extensive full time training.
